Yes, this is my morning breakfast smoothie and yes its in a wine glass. But all of our tumblers are broken and its Monday so I'm rebelling against the beginning of the week by consuming all of my liquids in a wine glass.
And because its a Monday, I am late for work and need something quick and easy for breakfast! My almond butter and banana smoothie is delicious and will keep you full the whole morning.
1 medium banana (frozen is preferable)
3/4 cup of plain yoghurt
1 sachet of almond buttanut spread (about 2 tablespoons)
1/4 cup of uncooked rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon on cinnamon
5 ml of vanilla (optional)
1 teaspoon of chia seeds (optional)
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until to reach your desired consistency. If it is too thick add some more water or enjoy it as a thick mousse like consistency and eat it with a spoon.
Frozen banana will result in an immediately chilled smoothie, however you can also just add ice.
