The Jewel of India
There are restaurants that feel like restaurants and then there are restaurants that feel like home. Eating family style by dishing off platters of fragrant rice, curried potatoes fried with tumeric and mustard seeds and a variety of curries.
It felt like the kitchen was over flowing with food (in the best way possible) I tried everything from their silky butter chicken to their melt in your mouth lamb curry and lentil and beans curry.
Aaaaand just when I thought I couldn't eat any more a seasfood platter arrived filled with line fish, mussels and prawns all in a curry sauce and served on a bed of rice.
Dessert was Kheer (sweet rice pudding) and Gulab Jamun (akin to a dense koeksister that has been soaked in syrup).
The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable
